City HallCity Hall is the heart of the City's operations; a place where you can get information about City Licenses, Building Permits, Water Service/Billing, Municipal Court, Planning Services and much more. Office hours are 8:00AM to 12:00PM and 1:00PM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. The Building Department is open Tuesday and Thursday 8:00AM to 12:00PM.

            Job openings
The City of Gearhart is currently taking resumes for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be a high school graduate, possess a current Oregon Drivers License, or be able to obtain one, and possess or be eligible to possess (two week out of state certification course) a Basic Certification or higher from DPSST. Selected applicants must be able to pass the POST written test, the ORPAT physical testing and an oral board. The successful candidate will be required to pass a medical physical. And a Psychological Assessment will also be given. Starting salary (step 3) is $3,614.53 per month plus PERS, medical, dental and vision benefits for employee and family.
